This week we celebrated Anti-Bullying Week by launching the KiVA Programme in our school. At our assembly, we outlined strategies to deal with bullying as well as encouraging everyone to be an Upstander as opposed to being a Bystander.
On Wednesday our Student Council raised the Cineáltas (Kindness) Flag- we are trying to fly the flag of kindness in our hearts and in our school.
On Thursday we (quite literally), put our whole selves into spelling out a very important message- BE KIND. This was great fun and required a lot of cooperation and teamwork!
Everyone wore colourful clothes to school on Friday in celebration of Inclusion, Diversity and Kindness. Mrs.McDonnell presented Cineáltas Awards to a number of children who had demonstrated remarkable acts of kindness.
