This year our school is taking part in the Peace Proms for the first time. The Peace Proms concert takes place in the SSE arena Belfast on Sunday 25th February at 1pm. We will perform with the Cross Border Orchestra and a host of top soloists.
We are learning 8 songs/medleys. They are fun and engaging and the end performance will be an inspirational and thrilling experience for all. In November we attended a regional workshop given by renowned conductor Greg Beardsell.
For the children in 3rd and 4th Class this is a once in a lifetime opportunity to sing with a choir of up to 3,000 children and perform with a full symphony youth orchestra. We are developing vocal technique, presentation and performance, and experiencing a variety of musical styles and genres. And we are having a blast!
