Our mission statement Foghlaim agus Sonas, meaning Learning and Happiness in Irish, encapsulates our vision for our pupil's educational journey.

In Scoil Mhuire gan Smál, we recognise the uniqueness of each child and we aim to develop his/her potential in all areas.

We foster Catholic values and attitudes in our school in a caring and nurturing atmosphere. We help children to develop self-esteem, self-confidence, respect for selves, respect for others in the community and for the environment.

In co-operation with parents, we follow a wide educational programme, which promotes academic, spiritual, physical, emotional, aesthetic, cultural and moral development.

We encourage the children to have a wholesome approach to life, so that on leaving school each child will be equipped to continue on a road of life-long learning and be a valuable member of society.
